At TOD you each identified 1 thing you were going to try in the first week of school. What have you done (give practical examples)? What has the impact been?
My objective in the first week was to get to know students as much as possible to enable me to plan for differentiation. To achieve this I have have purposefully run activities that allowed me to learn information about students. Moving about the class and engaging in conversations has helped me to learn what students are interested in as well as how they work. This will continue to be a work in progress and will feed into the planning of learning programmes moving forward.
The impact of this will pay of as the year goes on, The more I observe the more information I will have to plan for inclusion strategically. Writing my observations into my planning will help to keep this at the forefront.
