SO WHAT/NOW WHAT

We had a really robust discussion about Citizenship as a staff and together in teams. It was good to hear others ideas of what citizenship means to them, which was similar to my preconception of the term.

I now need to take these ideas and look at how I can weave these things into my learning programme. We have started to do this as a team, but this is something that I need to do on a more detailed level for my own class.

One of the areas that we need to focus on as part of our appraisal is selecting a target group to focus on. I am to use this first few weeks of the Term to analyse the students in my class to help my to work out what students would be suitable for this group. I aim to select students who are slightly behind and have the attitude and attendance that will allow them to progress this year.
