Reflection - 25.07.23

How has Te Tiriti informed and/or guided your teaching and learning from the start of this term? To begin this Term Te Tiriti has come through in A17 in the we acknowledge school tikanga through the use of our daily karakia and adhearing to school norms and expectations. Additionanlly, Te reo Māori is a normal part of our daily interactions and is used frequently when giving instructions. We have also begun a new learning Te Reo unit on weather (haurere). A personal goal for me as we start the second half of the year is re-engage with whanau. This will involve being visable after school during pick-up time and communcating home to share positive news and progess. Based on our data analysis - what am I going to do differently in my programme tomorrow... The fact that 48% of Year 4 students are below is concerning... One thing that I would like to change about my writing programme is having students spend more time writing. Another important modification to my programme would be to have students share their writing. This would make it pruposeful and meaningful. Purpose and audience is important. If there is no purpose or audience, then what is the point...
