Daily Reflection

27/04/2012

What am I proud of about today?

Today I was proud of how our Te Reo lesson went. Students worked together to do a roll play and I deliberately distributed competent Te Reo speakers throughout the groups so that they could be the expert in assiting others. It was awesome to see how they stepped up to help others.

Also, I enjoyed our lesson examining the role dss students played in overseas conflict and had a go at trying to put our selves in their shoes in a creative writign exercise.

What didn't go so well?

My instincts tell me that part of the reason there were difficulties with off task behaviour this week is because each day we did a range of different lessons and activities.

How could this be improved?

With the regular sturture returning next week i anticipate students should settle down again once they are back into our regular routine. That being said, it is still important that I continue to apply our classroom rules with consistently and frequently.

I have sought assistance from my associate teacher to help with one student that is giving me particular difficulty.
