Key Ideas/Messages that informed/or challenge my teaching practice	Creating a school wide culture where teachers are talking about teaching practices, sharing ideas and looking at ways to promote student learning. Does not have to be rocket science - ELP is still a great tool to use Marakai suggested talked about using pre-loading to give target students a head start before the rest of the class helping with their overall confidence. Kane talked about sharing writing expectations with kids Maraika emphasised that purpose for writing is still very important and that writing can occur not just in writing time. Discussed the power of oral language as a way to generate ideas.
Implications/Actions for my teaching practice	I plan to use literacy progression kid speak documents to begin having conversations with students about what they should be able to do. I need to think about how can I make my writing programme more purposefully. To do this I could talk to students and ask them what they like to write about?
