Key Ideas/Messages that informed/or challenge my teaching practice

Key feature of the ipad is the camera in how it can capture, describe and detail math in the real world.
I can show more work…
The second key ap is explain everything…
Same for Book creator.
Played around with Pic collage. Innes encourages students not to use templates and always says If you didn’t make it or create it then don’t use it.
Using book creator to make comics.
3 panels - questions answer. Speech bubbles and audio clips added. Very easy.
Can air drop and combine books.
You as a teacher should know why you are using it. What technology are you using and why are you using it?
If your kids are not being challenged and their learning has not been extended or pushed into new areas of thinking then we need to question what we are doing in our classrooms.

Implications/Actions for my teaching practice
|
I need to think about how I am currently using technology in my classroom. Ipads are mainly used to practise maths facts and build vocabulary.
I would like to try some of the ideas above - particularly the comic stip to help push and extend students into new areas of learning.
