Reflection - 11/06
How have I deliberately supported my Maori learners to ensure they can achieve successfully as Maori?
This week I haven't done anything out of the ordinary to deliberately support my Maori learners. In general, I try to create a classroom environment where all learners feel that they are valued and are a valuable part of the class team.
Identity and place are important elements in the Maori world. Integrating activities where students share about themselves will help value what each student (not only Maori) bring to the classroom. The connections game could be a good way to do this.
Welcome to my professional teaching blog. On this blog you will find all my professional reflections, professional development and educational bits-and-pieces.
