Reflection - 31/07/2018
How have I supported my learners to use te reo and tikanga in the past few weeks?
Each day we use a Karakia to open and close the day as well as before eating. Te Reo is used for simple commands, mainly from the teacher. This gets me thinking about how I am encouraging students to use Te Reo in the classroom. How can I promote the use of Te Reo in a genuine fashion? Making Te Reo more visible around the classroom in the form of signs and labels will assist students and will work as reference points and discussion starters.
