What am I proud of about today?

Today I was proud of how my using music lyrics reading/writing lesson went. Engagement was high and students enjoyed the variation from traditional reading and writing approaches. Success can be partially attributed to having an interesting introduction to 'hook' students in and clearly explaining the activity using examples. 

What didn't go so well?

Disruptive behaviour by a small portion of students. I was too lenient 

How could this be improved? 

Follow through with consequences early - no exceptions. Give direction, advise of consequences, walk away. If directions are not followed implement aforementioned consequence.
