Daily Reflection

24/04/2012

What am I proud of about today?

I was pleased with my classroom management employing a more consistent, firm but controlled approach. Off task behaviour was nipped in the bud immediately setting the tone for the rest of the day. I was also pleased with the lesson we did on techniques to improve our memory. Students where required to use a visual walk through approach in their mind which appealed to the creative visual learners in the class and gave students success that might not otherwise achieve through more traditional approaches

What didn't go so well?

One particular student being constantly distractive with off task behaviours. Have previously tried a gentle, friendly unobtrusive approach with minimal success

How could this be improved?

On Thursday (Wed is ANZAC day) I will be more employ a colder, firmer approach. Again, warn, adivse of consequences, walk away, then return and enforce.
