Reflection - 13.02.24
As you have begun to implement our first ‘We are’ and ‘We can’ statements in your akomanga, reflect on what has worked well and what you would like to try next.
Today during circle time we began to unpack two of the 4 "We are" statements. We began with a game called connections. After someone shares, people shout out "I have a connection!" and share something they connect with relating to what the person said. This continues giving as many students as possible an opportunity to share. We then talked about how many connections there are in our class. We followed this by brainstorming how the "We are" statements might look in our akomanga.
The next step is to use these idea as part of our positive behaviour programme. Students that are identified showing Whanaungatanga will be rewarded with dojos. I will make sure to highlight the reason for each Dojo allocated.
